10:30 - 11:00		Official WTM WRTD Opening Hosted by Stephen Sackur WTM WRTD Opening with Fiona Jeffery and Mark Edwards.
11:00 – 12:00		Presentation of the Virgin Holidays Responsible Tourism Awards The largest awards of their kind in the world. An initiative between online travel directory responsibletravel.com, World Travel Market, The Daily Telegraph and Geographical Magazine.
12:00 - 12:30		‘Hot Seat’ With Ed Fuller, CEO of the Marriott Hotels and Stephen Sackur, one of the world’s most respected television journalists. Stephen reproduced BBC World’s acclaimed flagship and most watched interview programme – it has a weekly global audience of nearly 60 million people – at WTM’s World Responsible Tourism Day.
12:30 – 12:40		Earth Lung Presentation Explained how Sri Lanka will become carbon clean by 2018 Geoffrey Lipman, Assistant Secretary General, UNWTO Renton De Alwis, Chairman, Sri Lanka Tourism
14:00 - 15:00		The first half of the afternoon programme focused on the role that operators and hoteliers can and should be playing in developing the sustainable tourism agenda and the issues they can impact and influence. WRTD Tour Operators debate Jane Ashton, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, First Choice Holidays PLC; Gary Lotter, & Beyond; Geoff Manchester, Travel Director & Co-founder, Intrepid Travel; Mandip Singh Soin, Founder, Ibex Expeditions; Chris Thomson, Responsible Tourism Co-ordinator, Federation of Tour Operators.
15:30 - 16:30		WRTD Hoteliers debate Minaz Abji, Executive Vice President, Host Hotels & Resorts; Hiran Cooray, Managing Director, Jetwing; Lyndall De Marco, Executive Director, International Tourism Partnership; Frank Fiskers, President & CEO, Scandic Hotels; Andrew Jones, Guardian and Founder of Sanctuary Resort.
16.30 – 17.15		Hard Rain Presentation by Mark Edwards The dramatic presentation 'Hard Rain', which has enjoyed rave reviews worldwide, is a series of unforgettable graphic images set to the words and music of Bob Dylan's 'A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall'. Bob Dylan’s piercing words accompany photographs that illustrate the issues are defining the 21st century – climate change, pollution, poverty and habitat loss. Essays by leading scientists and thinkers in the environmental movement explore the steps we must take to prevent global collapse.
17.15		WTM WRTD Networking Reception A rare opportunity to meet key ‘players’ who together are helping to place responsible tourism at the forefront of international travel and tourism.
