Supporting WTM WRTD for the first time this year, Bhaya Cruises will be highlighting the day on their website, through their social media and monthly newsletters.  Bhaya Cruises will also continue to develop their new project, an organic farm in Viet Hai, and actively support and educate their staff and crew on their ‘Reduce, Re-use and Recycle Policy’.

Boonserm Tours and Travel
Supporting WTM WRTD for the second time this year, Boonserm Tours & Travel will be highlighting the day with their Giving Back Program to support the Choki Traditional Art School.  A charity school in Bhutan which gives training in traditional arts and crafts skills to economically disadvantaged youths and giving them the skills for gainful employment. The organization also highlight the day on their website.

ConCERT
ConCERT, Cambodia 
ConCERT – Connecting Communities, Environment & Responsible Tourism – is supporting WTM WRTD for a third year.   They will be highlighting WTM WRTD this year and have been developing and delivering training sessions about child protection practices for volunteers, and hope soon to be delivering child protection training for Cambodian staff working at the projects where the volunteers work.

Bhaya Cruises Company Limited Edge of India, UK – IN385
Supporting WTM WRTD for the first time this year, Edge of India will be highlighting the day through their project website, printed material, posters and banners both at WTM and at GITB in Jaipur. Their project focuses on rural communities in India by establishing co-operative destination management organisations run by and for local communities and is founded on co-operative development and sustainable tourism principles.
 

Footprint Vietnam Travel
Footprint Vietnam Travel, Vietnam – AS389
Footprint Vietnam Travel is supporting WTM WRTD for a fourth year.  They will be highlighting the day by asking all their tour guides, drivers, guests to take part in a “clean up hour” between 09.30 and 10.30 wherever they are travelling that day.

Getaway Tours, Indonesia 
Getaway Tours will be supporting and highlighting WTM WRTD 2012 with their regular responsible tourism activities through their ‘giving back program’ from their company income.  The ‘giving back program’ donates money directly to poor children’s education.

Gypsy Trails, India 
Supporting WTM WRTD for the first time this year, Gypsy Trails will be highlighting WTM WRTD 2012 with their responsible tourism bike expedition “Sea to Summit” across India, covering some 5000Kms.  During the expedition Gypsy Trails will be educating and making local people aware of responsible tourism, staying in home stays and arranging for locals to join the expedition in their region.

HACRA are supporting WTM WRTD for the first time this year, they will be highlighting the day during their guide training sessions and community meetings as well as informing locally run service providers in the travel industry.  The organization will also be highlighting the day on their community eco tours HACRA website.

HG Travel HG Travel, Vietnam - AS580
Supporting WTM WRTD for a second year, HG Travel will be highlighting the day through their website, social networking and monthly newsletters.  HG Travel will also be continuing their commitment to their sustainable tourism project, The Tu Ne Community Based Tourism Project in Vietnam’s Hoa Binh Province which delivers environmental and cultural awareness tourism focusing on the traditions of the local Muong people.

Supporting WTM WRTD for the first time this year, Hummingbird Travel will be highlighting the day during WTM on their stand.  Hummingbird Travel specialise in travel to the Indian Ocean and support the local communities therein.  One of their passions is to maintain and highlight sustainable fishing methods that have been used successfully for many years and they are connecting the tourists with the locals and their lives who might otherwise never meet.

Supporting WTM WRTD for the second year, Kakayam Resorts will be highlighting the day through their Environmental Sustainability Campaign among local primary level schools to educate students at an early age about the importance of environmental protection and sustainability.

Lamai Homestay and Guesthouse
Supporting WTM WRTD for the first time, Lamai Homestay Guesthouse is planning to highlight this special day by taking their clients to the village school where they will invite the children and village elders to join them for an afternoon of fun, food and a special talk on how important it is to retain and protect their cultural heritage sites and continue their age old customs and crafts.

Lost Earth Adventures
Lost Earth Adventures will be supporting WTM WRTD for the second time this year and will highlight the day once again on their blog, http://www.lostearthadventures.co.uk/blog/worldresponsibletourism/, as well as educating their customers about the economic problems in Nepal, encouraging them to bring clothing and equipment to the people that live in the Himalayas through their Charity, Share the Load Foundation.Watch this video to find out more

Celebrating WTM WRTD once again, Luxury Travel Ltd has launched a number of new responsible tours in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar. The company will run in-house training sessions and workshops in their offices, highlighting to their staff the variety of initiatives and organizations that they support throughout Southeast Asia.  Luxury Travel will also highlight WTM WRTD through their website, facebook, link in, twitter and monthly newsletters.  Luxury Travel has launched a new website adventurevietnam.com to promote responsible tourism with a slogan creating better places for people to live in and better places for people to visit.

Supporting WTM WRTD for another year, Mandore Guest House organize volunteer programs and events to generate awareness among the local community and schools and they will be highlighting WTM WRTD by arranging a special event with the school and the local rural community.

Mango Cambodia
Mango Cambodia, Cambodia
Mango Cambodia will highlight WTM WRTD on 7th November with their second road safety campaign, STAY SAFE.  There will be an illustrated talk to students in the Kandal province followed by practical exercises and a quiz, all focussing on road safety in Cambodian rural areas where there is no street lighting. There will be road-safety-related gifts for all participating students and prizes for those who do well in the quiz, including a brand new bicycle with reflectors and lights for the overall winner.  Each student will also receive copies of a leaflet detailing road safety tips which they will be encouraged to pass these on to friends and family, thus enabling a pyramid learning effect.

Pamir Highway Adventure, Tajikistan (UK Based) 
Pamir Highway Adventure will be supporting WTM WRTD for another year and are highlighting the day by running, and filming, training courses for homestay owners, guides and drivers across the Eastern Pamir Region.  The organization will also be installing wind turbines in the region as a provision of renewable energy.

Supporting WTM WRTD for the first time this year, Rare Holidays India will be highlighting the day to their clients together with their newly evolved tour package, Villages and Wildlife of India.

Rimo Travel RIMO Expeditions, India
RIMO Expeditions are supporting and highlighting WTM WRTD for another year and will be creating local awareness about sustainable tourism and holding UIAA Guide workshops on mountain leadership.  The organization will also be highlighting the day at the Ladakh Marathon, India.

Scubahire Limited are supporting WTM WRTD for the first time this year and are planning to highlight the day by informing members of Fiji’s tourism industry about the World Travel Market World Responsible Tourism Day. Beqa Adventure Divers are one of Fiji’s leading ecotourism operators and they manage a holistic conservation project aimed at protecting the marine environment whilst cooperating with local stakeholders.  In order to become carbon neutral they are offsetting their carbon emissions by planting a corresponding number of mangroves in Fiji.

Supporting and highlighting WTM WRTD for another year, Selena Travel Mongolia will again organise their WRTD event with the University of Humanities, Mongolia.  Educating the students about responsible tourism and its importance, how responsible tourism can be developed and how it affects the lives of communities in a positive manner.

Serena Hotels Pakistan is a group of four hotels, Gilgit Serena Hotel, Shigar Fort Residence, Khaplu Palace & Residence and Hunza Baltit Inn.  Each hotel will be highlighting and supporting WRTD with a clean up and education programme, a reduction in their water flow in all showers, toilets, basins by WRTD and by inviting the local community to enjoy a cultural show at each hotel.  Shigar Fort Residence and Khaplu Palace & Residence will be open for women and children from the local community to enjoy their cultural museums.

Treasure Trove The Treasure Trove, India
Supporting WTM WRTD for the first time this year, The Treasure Trove will be highlighting the day by planting 101 saplings at Meenangadi, Wayanad District, Kerala, India.

Travel & Culture Services will be supporting WTM WRTD in 2012 by planting a tree at the Keenjher lake for every tourist who visits the lake.  They will also be highlighting the day on their website.

Travel Sense Asia are supporting WTM WRTD for the first time this year and will be celebrating the day with a special note to their customers who will be travelling with them on Wednesday 7 November 2012. Their tour guide will introduce their customers to WTM WRTD and ask them to respect the local customs and nature. The organization will also highlight this special day in their travel documents and promote it on their website.

Supporting WTM WRTD for the first time this year, The Au Co will be highlighting the day on their website, through their social media and monthly newsletters.  They will also continue to contribute to responsible tourism throughout the development of their new project - an organic farm in Viet Hai, the support to the local community and the enhancement of ‘Reduce, Re-use and Recycle” policy in their organization.

ZTDA are supporting WTM WRTD for the first time and will be highlighting the day by implementing a new project piloting the use of alternative energy sources and new technology to improve energy efficiency of their rural guest houses.  The organization also has a Handicraft Project which the organization has been implementing in the Zerafshan valley and 2012 will see them open a store in Hujand city with another store in Dushanbe as well.   ZTDA will also run their Environmental Awareness Campaign for another year in 2012.

Tour Mongolia is celebrating WTM WRTD for a second year and will be highlighting the day with their biggest annual Olympiad, “Grand Tour”, a competition among tourism students held in universities throughout Mongolia. This year’s motto is Green city-Sustainable Tourism.   The event is made up of several sessions including a knowledge competition for tourism students, a competition for sport activities, adventure activities, trekking, rafting, and a scientific conference, an exhibition by the universities and much more.  Tour Mongolia will be in charge of supporting the knowledge competition, the trekking and rafting tournaments.

Supporting WTM WRTD for the first time this year, Ultimate Descents Nepal will be highlighting the day at WTM with their Nepal River Conservation Trust that they initiated and support.  The Trust works for the conservation of Himalayan Rivers in Nepal.

Supporting WTM WRTD for the first time this year, Vasco Travel will be highlighting the day by offering their guests a meal with an Indian Family and a visit to the local schools in Rajasthan, giving them an opportunity to interact with the local people. The company has been sponsoring a child in their education for the last few years and as a gesture of their support for WTM WRTD, the company will sponsor a child under the ‘Family Strengthening Programme’ of SOS Children’s Villages.
