African Environments Ltd, Tanzania – Tanzania Stand
Supporting WTM WRTD for a third year, African Environments Ltd is continuing to support WTM WRTD through their ongoing staff training projects, further educating their clients and increasing their commitment to the communities that they visit by offering training to individuals to better enable them to gain employment. The organization has produced an extensive 'guidebook', aimed at their clients, about what they do and why. This has proved a great talking point for clients and has helped them heighten their awareness of the issues and African Environment’s attempts at solutions.

AWOL Tours cc, South Africa
AWOL Tours will be highlighting WTM WRTD through funding its non profit organisation partner Sustainable Livelihoods Foundation, which has launched a pilot project of habitat restoration in Seawinds, with the collaboration of Hillview Community Nursery. The project seeks to restore highly degraded Cape Town fynbos habitats on city commonage (such as flood plains, powerline reserves and road verges), performing the dual role of habitat restoration and potential open access areas for locally utilised medicinal plants. AWOL Tours are aiming to extend the programme as a 'Township Greening tour' where visitors have a chance to plant with the community.

Big Expeditions & Safaris Ltd, Tanzania Supporting WTM WRTD for the first time this year, Big Expeditions & Safaris will be highlighting the day through their company blog and website. The organisation is continuing to provide free education for the Mkombozi School, which they founded, together with providing training opportunities for the locals to improve on their service delivery. Big Expeditions will be organising a climb for another WTM WRTD logo approved organisation, Equatours Limited, in September. |

Cheli & Peacock, Kenya – AF600
Cheli & Peacock is supporting WTM WRTD for another year and will be highlighting the day at WTM with one of their latest initiatives, ‘anti-bottles’ to reduce their plastic bottle use to a minimum. The idea is that all clients at Cheli & Peacock properties will receive a complimentary anti-bottle that they can then refill the bottle at various refill stations throughout the camp and in the game drive vehicles from reusable 20 litre bottles. Last year also saw the registration of the Cheli & Peacock Community Trust, employing a manager to run the trust and work hands-on with the local communities to identify their true needs. 2012 has seen the trust spearhead many new initiatives, focusing on revenue generation, education and health projects that will benefit communities in the long term. |

Furthermore, they will be facilitating First Aid training for National Mountain Guides. |

CTB World Travel, Ghana
Supporting WTM WRTD for the first time this year, CTB World Travel will be highlighting the day by holding a Responsible Tourism Day in Ghana, planting trees in deserving communities and planning a 2 day seminar for hospitality service providers in Ghana, with the theme: Responsible Service Changes lives. The organization will be branding their vehicles for the project with have both their company logo and the WTM WRTD Logo.

Dar Tassa is supporting WTM WRTD for another year and will be highlighting the day by organising a day out for their local school. Dar Tassa will be working with the forestry office, local school and local association to highlight the need for protecting the environment. The children will be able to go out and ‘see and do’ and become more involved with the responsibility of the national park.

Ethical Encounters, Uganda Supporting WTM WRTD for the first time this year, Ethical Encounters will be highlighting the day by taking volunteers and tourists to the hills of Western Uganda, Kabale, to plant fruit trees around the local village and to maintain the village’s water spring. |

Fisherman's Rest, Malawi - AF650 Supporting WTM WRTD for the first time this year, Fisherman’s Rest will be highlighting the day by feeding 1500 children in their local area, providing one hot meal for each school child in 4 local schools. One good meal a day in Malawi means a better daily attendance, better concentration, an increased number of girls in education and better grades are achieved too. Guests who are staying at Fisherman’s Rest will be encouraged to be involved too. |

Highlighting WTM WRTD for another year, Karibu Rwanda by supporting the Ibiwacyu cultural village this year. The local project is aimed at community involvement and mountain gorilla conservation. The organization will also be continuing with their tree planting programme in Uganda together with their continued support at the Kinigi guest House, a project that supports women and orphans in Kinigi and their conservation efforts in the Virunga area.

Kushiland Expeditions & Tour Safaris Ltd, Tanzania
Kushiland Expeditions & Tour Safaris Ltd are supporting WTM WRTD for another year. This year they will be highlighting the day with their annual charity walk “Kilimanjaro - the Ultimate Challenge” to the roof of Mount Kilimanjaro. The monies raised from this walk go to fund education programs in the villages surrounding the slops of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru.

Livingstone Tanzania Trust, UK based
2012 sees the launch of The Livingstone Tanzania Trust’s Community Led Fuel Efficient Stove Project which aims to provide 10 women with new income generating opportunities, enable 180 households to save money through reduced need for firewood, educate the local community about the importance of trees to their environment and plant trees and reduce deforestation in the community. 2012 also sees the expansion of the Clean Hands Saves Lives campaign to include another school and another 400 children. The School Reading Competition that was held in December of last year was a great success with the winning children going on safari and the Trust is hopeful that they will be launching the competition in a fifth school later this year.

MIBE’S HOSPITALITY LTD, Ghana – AF290
Supporting WTM WRTD for another year, MIBE’s Hospitality will be highlighting the day at the World Travel Market on their stand. The organization will be inviting visitors to their stand to inform them about the Ghanaian communities that they support and help by providing a school, a library and pipe-borne water. Visitors to the stand will also be given a car sticker highlighting WTM WRTD and responsible tourism.

Ol Tukai Lodge, Kenya - AF250
Ol Tukai Lodge will be highlighting WTM WRTD again this year, they support community development and plan initiatives in conjunction with the Amrit Foundation targeting rural community development projects in and around the Amboseli National Park. Their projects include ‘confidence donating’ sanitary towels to young ladies at local schools, donating writing materials to the schools and helping to build a dormitory for girls to help them with their future rather than being 'married off' at a young age. The lodge also takes proactive steps to preserve the fauna in and around its perimeters.

Rivertrees Country Inn, Tanzania Rivertrees Country Inn will be highlighting WTM WRTD through their Tanzanian artisan gift shop and on their website. This year they have installed solar water heaters into the inn and will be supporting the new school in their community. |

Safari Legacy, Tanzania – AF498
Safari Legacy will be supporting and highlighting WTM WRTD not only at WTM but with their 650km charity walk in Arusha to raise awareness and funding to stop the poaching of elephants and rhino in Africa. Safari Legacy continues to support the African Nature Conservation Trust which involves and educates villagers, tribesmen, landowners and farmers in conserving their environment. The organisation has also set up a fund that benefits the indigenous communities with direct revenue and community-chosen development projects funded by tourism.

South Africa Photography Tours, AustraliaSupporting WTM WRTD for a second year, South Africa Photography Tours will continue to donate money to the charities that they support together with increasing their tours to look at education and therefore visit and donate to some schools and missions in the Northern Cape, South Africa. To highlight WRTD 2012 they will be promoting the extension of the tours to include such missions and the support that their tourism can bring. This will be done on their website and blog through an audio/visual presentation.

Tzaneen Country Lodge, South Africa
Supporting WTM WRTD for another year, Tzaneen Country Lodge are highlighting the day with a special community outreach with fun activities for the children and adults alike. They will combine this with a talk on WRTD and are planning to hand out gifts that promote responsible tourism. The lodge’s latest activity is to use one of their local community's guides to pick up tourists at their hotel, take them on a tour of the old village and learn more about Modjadji and the legend of the Rain Queen. The organization will use the Rain Queen as an opportunity to talk about water and how to save water for our future.

Uganda Wildlife Adventure will be highlighting WTM WRTD this year by cleaning and repainting the Sanyu Babies Home with fresh colours. This is the first time that the organization has helped the Home.

Supporting WTM WRTD for their second year, Welcome Cameroun will be highlighting the day with a Responsible Tourism seminar, including presentations by journalists looking at the media aspect of Responsible Tourism. West Africa Discovery, UK based
West Africa Discovery will be supporting and highlighting WTM WRTD again by promoting responsible tourism projects based in West Africa. This promotion is done by meeting with industry members, academic leaders and the ‘movers and shakers’ to convince them that Responsible Tourism can be used as an efficient and effective tool to promote sustainable development and poverty alleviation within the regions nations. West Africa Discovery also organizes events to highlight concerns within the industry and how responsible tourism can help to resolve them, together.

Supporting WTM WRTD for a third year, Wild Guanabana will be maintaining their carbon neutral status and giving their clients certificates to raise their awareness of this together with the importance of ethical travel. They will be highlighting WTM WRTD at events throughout 2012.
