Supporting and highlighting WTM WRTD for the first time, Active Adventure India is planning a cycling competition at Khardong.

Agri Tourism India has been supporting WTM WRTD since 2007 and will be highlighting the WTM WRTD 2011 with their annual statewide responsible tourism conference attended by the farmers who run and operate the agri tourism centers.

Boonserm Tours & Travel, Bhutan – AS495 
Supporting WTM WRTD for the first time this year, Boonserm Tours & Travel will be highlighting the day with their Giving Back Program to support the Choki Traditional Art School.  A charity school in Bhutan which gives training in traditional arts and crafts skills to economically disadvantaged youths and giving them the skills for gainful employment. By supporting this school, they also promote the age old culture and traditions of Zorig Chusum (The Thirteen Crafts), one of the components of Bhutan’s development philosophy “Gross National Happiness”. They will also support the school by organizing trips to Bhutan and contributing 2% of their profit to the school. Their guests will also have the privilege to visit the art school and interact with the students and be given the opportunity to ‘dabble’ in the traditional arts & crafts first hand.  Other sustainable activities including the community based eco-tourism trek at Nabji Korphu and Home stay and Home visits to local villages in Bhutan.

Complete India & Asia will be highlighting WTM WRTD for the first time this year and will be telling their database contacts all about it.  They will also highlight their support by uploading information onto the home page of their website.

ConCERT, Cambodia
ConCERT – Connecting Communities, Environment & Responsible Tourism – is supporting WTM WRTD for a second year. They have over 20 well managed NGO members covering many areas of activity: education, childcare, water supplies, environmental protection and education, vocational training, HIV/AIDS support, agriculture, healthcare, land mine clearance and victim rehabilitation and community development. Their activities are ongoing and they are increasingly shifting their emphasis towards developing guidelines that help interventions and support of all kinds to meet the real needs of the communities.

Demazong Travels are highlighting WTM WRTD for the first time this year, they promote eco friendly and responsible tourism in the Himalayas. This year they will be carrying out ‘clean ups’ in popular tourist places, setting up dustbins in every corner of the city, running cleaning awareness camps in remote villages and using solar energy.

WTM WRTD Footprint Vietnam Travel, Vietnam
Footprint Vietnam Travel provides a bridge between host and visitor, focusing on responsible travel, travelling in a way that respects culture, protects the environment and supports the communities visited. The organisation is supporting WTM WRTD for a third year.  They will be highlighting the day on their website and are planning a Community and Tree day as their annual event.

Getaway Tours, Indonesia 
Getaway Tours are involved with several ongoing projects that will highlight WTM WRTD 2011 this year.  The projects include their Giving Back Program where they donate money to children for scholarship programs and  their project supporting the Mangrove Farmers of Surabaya who are starting to reforest the destroyed mangrove forests.

Supporting and highlighting WTM WRTD for another year, Grass Routes is organising its third 'Clean Up the Beach' campaign to increase awareness of keeping their local habitat clean and culminating in beach cleaning activities along the shore. This year's focus will be on beach safety and training life guards on first aid.

Highlighting and celebrating WTM WRTD for another year, Ibex Expeditions are planning to launch an expedition to convert bandits in the Chambal area of central India into becoming tour guides and naturalists thereby using tourism as a tool for development, peace and economic prosperity. The organization will also be highlighting WTM WRTD on their website and continuing to spread their responsible tourism practices.

Supporting WTM WRTD for the first time this year, Inner Maldives Holidays promote community based tourism of the local islands’ guest houses.  Their latest activity is to promote Laamu Atoll where tourists can buy their meals in local restaurants, buy souvenirs from local shops and support these communities to develop.

Supporting WTM WRTD for the first time this year, Kakkayam Resorts will be holding a one-week long training course, for local people on how to create a steady income by properly monetizing their production.  The training will be hands-on with the aim of introducing the locals to pricing policies and marketing techniques for their produce and handicrafts.

Luxury Travel Vietnam are supporting WTM WRTD again this year and will be continuing to feature their innovative adventure tours, researching and creating new itineraries, and offering new twists on perennial favourites.  They support Ha Cau SOS Villages, Micro Plan in Soc Son on the outskirts of Hanoi, adding more Off the Beaten Track Vietnam Tours.  Their goal is to create better places for people to live in and better places for people to visit.

Mango Cambodia will highlight WTM WRTD with their road safety campaign.  They will be distributing 3000 reflector lights to school children in the countryside and urban centers in Phnom Penh to ensure that they are able to cycle to and from school in safety. The organization will also be holding a clean up in the countryside where some of their tours take place. These events will be featured on their website.

Manila Club London will be supporting WTM WRTD for another year and will be highlighting the day on their website together with the promotion of ethical and responsible tourism. This year they have started to sell Fairtrade products to help a special needs school in Parang, Marikina, Philippines.

Supporting and highlighting WTM WRTD for another year, Selena Travel will be organising their second WRTD event at the University of Mongolia teaching and increasing awareness among the tourism students.  2010 saw over 200 students attending this event and this year they are hoping for 300 students together with teachers.

Spirit of Japan will be highlighting WTM WRTD for the first time this year through their E-zine and social media network.  The organization also supports several ongoing projects such as Carbon Offsetting, Tree Planting and Sea Turtle Conservation.

Tour Mongolia will be highlighting WTM WRTD 2011 through their Children’s Eco Club painting/drawing Competition. Tour Mongolia provide responsible trips and tours throughout Mongolia. Every year they renew and update their activities on the basis of local experiences and international know how and technologies.

Celebrating WTM WRTD once again, Travel Indochina will again be running a series of training sessions and workshops in their offices across Australia, the UK, Vietnam and Cambodia, highlighting to all their staff the variety of initiatives and organisations that they support throughout Asia. Travel Indochina will also highlight WTM WRTD through their monthly newsletter that goes out to all their clients and industry contacts and they are planning a larger fundraiser in which they involve many of their industry contacts.Travel Indochina has recently created a short video about our Responsible Travel activities arrow View Video
