Brecon Beacons National Park, UK
Highlighting WTM WRTD for the first time this year, the Brecon Beacons National Park are organising a Responsible Tourism Day event which will enable local businesses to discover more about responsible tourism.  The business case will explain why all stakeholders can and should take responsibility for sustainable tourism and how all businesses can take steps to be more responsible.

 

  Celticos Ltd, UK
Supporting WTM WRTD for the first time this year, Celticos Ltd are trying to bring individuals and organisations together to establish responsible tourism in Wales. Wanting to create a new approach towards tourism by creating mutual benefits to the local community and enhancing the experience for the tourist.

 

 

Croydon College, UK
Supporting WTM WRTD for the very first time, the students at Croydon College will be organising their own Responsible Tourism Exhibition.

 

  Genua Madrigal Ltd, UK
Highlighting WTM WRTD for the first time this year, Genua Madrigal will be highlighting the international day by launching a Responsible Tourism page on their website.  The page will explain what is meant by “Responsible Tourism” and offer links to operators who espouse those principles.

 

  Greenbox. Ireland
Supporting WTM WRTD for another year, Greenbox are planning to run a Policy Seminar for Ireland, working in association with Burren Connect, a new destination that is adopting ecotourism in Ireland.

 

  Hello Scotland Ltd, UK
Highlighting WTM WRTD for the first time this year, Hello Scotland will be holding a Supplier Environmental Engagement Session to emphasise the importance of sustainable tourism amongst their local suppliers and stakeholders.

 

  Manila Club London, UK
Manila Club London is highlighting WTM WRTD on the front page of their website, explaining its importance and highlighting organisations around Asia that practice responsible and sustainable tourism.

 

  Nurture Lakeland, UK
Celebrating WTM WRTD for the first time, Nurture Lakeland are planning to hold a sustainable tourism awareness raising event for members of the public and their business member community in the Lake District. Part of this event will be to visit projects that they are supporting and invite guests to talks about their sustainable tourism initiatives and campaigns.

 

 SkiBound SkiBound, UK
Supporting the WTM WRTD for the first time this year, SkiBound organise and operate school ski tours. SkiBound use the Travelife Sustainability system to improve the practises of their Clubhotels in the French Alps and have a sustainability code of conduct for their clients. They have developed a special ‘green’ tour in partnership with their sister company, Travelbound. This year they will highlight the WTM WRTD through their brochures, their internet and through internal staff presentations.

  Travelbound, UK
Highlighting WTM WRTD for the second year, Travelbound will be featuring WTM WRTD on their website and e-communications with clients and suppliers.  They will be advertising the day in their hotel properties. Travelbound will also ensure that all their staff are aware of the WTM WRTD and what it means, and communicate their support to other companies in the TUI Group.

  Traveltalk, UK based
Traveltalk is supporting WTM WRTD for a second year and will be highlighting the day through mailshots, flyers for their office and on their website/twitter.  They are an independent UK based travel agency who actively promote responsible and sustainable tourism, using accommodation and tours that benefit the local community, use local resources and employ local people. Traveltalk take advice and guidance from bodies such as ‘Fair Trade in Tourism South Africa’.
